Dr. Poppen and his staff are the absolute best in town. I have never really had good luck with gynos and have repeatedly had my concerns dismissed or minimized in the past. The first visit I had with Dr. Poppen, he told me that he had read the notes from my previous providers but that he wanted to... hear what was going on with me in my own words as that was more important to him. After I was done, he told me that he believed me, that my experience was valid, and that he was sorry I had been dismissed or offered inferior treatments for my symptoms. I could have cried, it was so relieving and validating to hear. He has a very gentle and professional demeanor, clearly cares about his patients, and I will never see another gyno in town now.read more

I don’t know why this pops up under my husband but my name is Nichole Pearce.Dr. Poppens exceeds all expectations. I had been in the ER and had quite an issue. Needless to say I was terrified. I had an awful experience with my previous Gyno and no I had to find a new one and have surgery. Dr.... Poppen (as well as his incredible staff) made me feel comfortable, safe and genuinely cared for. I was in tears, pain and again, fear; he made sure he explained everything that would happen (more than once), answered and re-answered every single question and worked hard (I was not easily calmed) to allocate my fears. Myself and my two twenty something daughters now have been with him going on two years. I think him and his staff are absolutely number 1 in the Reno/Sparks area. Hands down.read more
